<3 we have the strongest community. 800+ are going to the candlelight vigil tomorrow night. there are many many prayer & candle vigils today and tomorrow. One of the teachers chased the gunman out of the school, while he was shooting at him. He didn’t get shot. Another teacher pulled a boy who was shot into the room and tried to help him.
I am just amazed. I am so amazed in complete opposite ways. I can’t believe someone could kill a person (or maybe 3, is the rumor) and shoot 5. Over what, drugs? Bullying? We need to be nice. We need to treat people with respect and quit fucking making fun of people. Seriously, you do not know their lives, you don’t know their history, you don’t know anything about a person. We need peace, and I wish this was an easy thing to get, but having this happen has made me realize that it is not that easy. There are deep problems people have. We need to treat people well, all the time.
I’m also amazed because of how strong our town is. We all are together, as one. We help each other and it is so wonderful.
I just can’t stop crying. Driving around the town, you just feel this heavy, sad weight on everything. The gunman lived down the street from me and it’s all blocked off with FBI and police officers and random cars. How could anyone eat lunch in that cafeteria ever again. How could someone sit at those tables where blood of their classmates have spilled. Where bullets have been shot. Where screams echoed.
This is unreal.
